I will be showing you how to replace the heater in your Hot Spring hot tub. Follow my lead carefully to ensure the proper install.

Replace Heater:

1. Start by removing the screws that are holding down the heater.
2. Remove the clamps from the hoses and disconnect everything from the heater.
3. When disconnecting the hoses with a wrench, handle with care!
4. Unscrew the ground wire.
5. Losen with a wrench and remove the thermistor and high limit sensor with your hand.
6. Release the wires from the control board.
7. Once disconnected, collect the washers and put them off to the side.
8. Take a wrench to the fitting around the wire leading to the control board.
9. Use a flathead to loosen the wires on the control board.
10. Remove the heater and place the new one in.
11. The new heater comes with washers for you to place in.
12. Plug back in the thermister, they are sized to their proper input.
13. When tightening with a wrench, do not overdo it or you will crack the sensors.
14. Screw and replace the ground wire.
15. Replace the hoses and make sure they are all the way in.
16. Put the clamps on over the hoses for tightening.
17. Use the screws to hold down the heater.
18. Thread the cables to the control box area and snip the ends of the black and white wires.
19. Twist the wires for them to fit.
20. Place the black wire into the H2 terminal and the white into the H1 terminal.
21. When connecting the ground wire, take out the screw in the control board.
22. Wrap the wire around the screw and place it back in.
23. Last step, plug in the pressure switch to the correct slot.
24. Feed the wires to the side of the control box for wire organization.
25. Take a volt meter and plug it into H1 and H2 to test if the heater works.
26. Make sure the settings are on false, 228 volts are coming through, and that its showing 14.4 AMPs.
27. Put your hot tub back together and the replacement is complete.
