75087 T stat

This t-stat replaces 75077 on all 1994 models.

Important note: The bulb and capillary type thermostat in this model spa has been retrofit with an electronic thermostat. When replacing a bulb and capillary thermostat, install the electronic thermostat according to the instructions included with the retrofit kit. See the corresponding ‘repair’ instructions for details.

Electronic Thermostat

The control thermostat controls the temperature of the spa water within 1.5 degrees F of the set temperature. The temperature knob on the control panel controls the temperature setting.

The control thermostat senses the water temperature by measuring the resistance of the control thermistor. The temperature of the spa water determines the resistance of the control thermistor. When the spa water temperature changes, the resistance of the control thermistor will change (the higher the temperature the less the resistance).

The spa water temperature set point is selected by the customer (between 50 - 107.5 degrees F.). The control thermistor resistance signal is compared to the set point of the control thermostat to determine if the heater is to be activated.

NOTE: The control thermostat board will shut down the heater if the control thermistor is unplugged, jumped or bypassed.

Specifications: 5 volt and 12 volt DC

Mechanical Thermostat

The control thermostat controls the temperature of the spa water within 2 degrees F of the set temperature. The temperature knob on the control panel controls the temperature setting.

NOTE: The numbers on the control panel do not correspond to any a specific temperature. They are a convenient way to mark where the customer likes the thermostat set.

The control thermostat is a bulb and capillary type thermostat. This type of thermostat has two components: a switch and an actuator.
